Safeguarding
Mrs Bell, the headteacher, is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Mr Hamilton (Deputy Headteacher) is the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Their role within school is to lead and coordinate safeguarding practices so that we comply with legislation, but more importantly, to ensure that children and families are supported to keep them safe.
The role requires specific training that enables the individual to develop effective systems in schools to help identify concerns and react when concerns are raised from families and agencies.
If you as a parent / carer have a concern about the safety of any of our children or adults, it is important that this is shared with school and, in particular, the designated lead. No matter how small it may appear to you, it is always better to have raised it.
CEOP
The internet can be great fun. Your children can chat to their friends, play games and learn about new things. But sometimes things happen which can make them upset. People may say mean things which make them feel sad, or they may see something that they don’t like. If this happens, please offer support and remember to let the child know it’s not their fault.
Using your judgement as an adult you can report their experience to CEOP or if there is an immediate danger, call the police.
