Wow! What amazing (and diverse) talent we have here in our lovely school! From comedians, dancers, painters, writers, miming artists, singers, gifted sportsmen and creative writers – our children showed off their individuality, skills and confidence in some stunning performances at our whole school talent show this week!

All the children were invited to take part and worked extremely hard in their individual classes, preparing their ‘talent show auditions’ – in readiness for our whole school ‘Winlaton West Lane’s Got Talent’ Show! The top three acts from each class were then chosen by their teacher to perform in front of staff and pupils.

Take a look at some of their amazing acts (and talent) in the video’s below…

Introducing our hilarious, confident and very entertaining Year 1 comedian – who had everyone laughing with his ‘joke-telling’ talent…

Our two amazing Year 1 ‘Karate Kid’ boys showed off their skills in a wonderful demonstration of their Karate. Despite a ‘power-cut’ subsequently occurring mid act, they nevertheless showed great resilience and confidence by continuing their demonstration (supported by Year 6 singing!). Well done boys!

Our Year 2 boys showed off their drama skills and acting talent in a very detailed, creative and totally silent miming performance of ‘Jack & The Beanstalk’…

Our Year 1 break-dancing trio took us all by surprise with their dancing skills!

We were treated to a feast of Irish dancing, girl and boy bands singing a range of pop songs, hula hooping demonstrations and solo singers with such powerful and awe-inspiring melodic voices!

Well done to everyone who took part in our show – West Lane certainly has some of the most talented and gifted children and we were blown away with you all!

Have a lovely summer – From all the staff at West Lane x
